Job Summary

The Database Marketing Specialist is responsible for directly overseeing agencies and internal targeted marketing automation campaigns, data extraction, and email marketing campaigns by reporting results of the database marketing efforts. This position will work closely with internal development teams to fully understand all facets of the CRM. Analyze and strategize further segment potential, driving engagement, increase and further enhance brand awareness.

Essential Functions - Duties & Responsibilities

Tasks may include, but are not limited to the following:

* Oversee database team to ensure each email and direct mail campaign is executed according to brand plan and in compliance with legal and HIPAA compliance requirements.
* Develop and code the list segmentation for all direct and interactive marketing campaigns and communicate requirements to the automation program.
* Analysis of day-to-day email marketing activities including email campaign set-up, direct mail, SMS, testing and deployment of one-time, recurring, triggered and dynamic content-driven campaigns.
* Develop tactics for optimizing the effectiveness of emails and direct mail campaigns.
* Oversee strategy for replacement of fatigued email and direct mail creative quarterly.
* Review website traffic, standard email metrics and overall engagement from MoM and YoY to drive strategic business goals.
* Review campaign results to identify optimization opportunities, identify gaps and strategize solutions for process improvement and discovery of user touch points and marketing attribution.
* Find cause-and-effect relationships between emails opens, clicks and movement throughout the analytics.
* Oversee and analyze data to support marketing attribution and media mix between online and offline efforts.
* Discover patterns and commonalities between users to identify strategic methods for maximizing experience with the brand.
* Development and analysis of list segmentations for all direct and interactive marketing campaigns and communicate to the primary database vendor
* Evaluate and optimize effectiveness of marketing campaigns for KPIs.

Qualifications & Requirements

Associated Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

* Must be highly organized and work well under pressure
* Must have excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
* Must be comfortable in Microsoft Suite

Must Have:

* Bachelor's degree in business, marketing or related field
* Minimum 4 years experience in database marketing
* Marketing automation program experience
* CRM experience, preferably Salesforce
* Strong project management, writing, creative and reporting skills
* Ability to work with several different departments assessing needs and processes
* Solid business acume, management, analytical, and problem solving skills
* Strong computer skills especially with CRM solutions, lead nurturing and automation tools
* Effective management, organizational, and leadership skills
