The Advertising Account Executive is responsible for directing and managing assigned client engagements and leading the RAUXA agency team to successful completion of all project work. The Sr. AM will oversee internal resources & agency leads assigned to a client engagement, with direct responsibility for delivering work on-time, on-budget and on-strategy. More skilled in the fields of direct mail and digital marketing, they also act as a resource to other Account team members on project related tasks and client needs. The ideal candidate will have outstanding project management skills, and be a motivated, strategic thinker with a proven track record of successful client management.


* Acts as the day-to-day client contact, focused on execution and project management
* Manages the delivery of a wide variety of project types (interactive, direct mail, strategy, etc.)
* Provides daily and weekly updates to all members of the assigned project team(s)
* Represents RAUXA in all client & partner-agency communications on a weekly or daily basis
* Represents the voice of the client in all internal discussions
* Works with department leads to ensure all commitments are properly articulated to the assigned resources
* Produces project quotes, Order Entries, Change Orders and job matrices accurately and quickly and updates all documents throughout project
* Develops detailed schedules, budgets and job launch briefs for all projects
* Writes and distributes meeting notes to team members and clients
* Accurately manages budgets to maintain profitable projects & client accounts
* Tracks and monitors all hours associated with each assigned project
* Accurately identifies and assesses scope changes and their impact on the schedule and budget
* Develops and maintains expertise in all areas of an assigned client's business
* Manages and leads all external and internal project meetings
* Maintains accurate project documentation on RAUXA project management systems
* Keeps detailed records of internal and external project communications
* Conducts detailed proofing of all deliverables before releasing to the client
* Ensures the final deliverables meet the quality and expectations of the agency and the client
* Prepares final billing by gathering final project costs from agency departments, producing the final billing quote and reviewing the final invoice
* Ensures prompt collection of accounts receivable
* Grows current client accounts by developing strategic recommendations that meet the client's business objectives and long-term goals
* May superviseAccount Managers and/or Associate Managers, providing ongoing direction to ensure that all jobs are managed effectively and efficiently
* Develops and conducts training, creates employee development plans, and conducts annual reviews for all direct reports
* Conducts weekly one-on-one meetings with all direct reports in order to monitor project progress and provide regular coaching and direction
* Consistently demonstrates project management best-practices, and reinforces correct practices with assigned Account team members
* Acts as a leader within the Account team, providing training and support for junior team members
* Builds lasting client and agency relationships


* Outstanding project management skills
* Proven leadership ability and/or previous management experience
* Solid understanding of marketing best-practices, with specific experience within the interactive marketing and direct mail categories
* Demonstrated ability to solve complex problems creatively
* Excellent organizational skills, including attention to precise details and accuracy
* Proven client management experience
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* Strong presentation and persuasion skills
* Ability to manage several very complex projects with minimal supervision
* Ability to represent the agency to all levels of the client organization, including executive level management
* Demonstrated database marketing skills, direct marketing skills and creative development skills
* Demonstrated digital marketing experience
* Ability to work effectively in a fast paced, highly dynamic atmosphere and react quickly to changes


* Bachelor's degree or equivalent relevant experience required
* At least six (6) total years of agency and/or corporate marketing experience
* Experience with multiple direct marketing channels such as direct mail, TV, print, and interactive
* Interactive or Direct Mail agency experience preferred
