Social Media Marketing Specialist
Orientation will be at a neutral location or at the college. Then, work from hom and online with regular virtual meetings with company founders
You will be implementing a totally new social media presence and brand called TreeProtector.org—by synergizing existing world-wide information about trees in the unique context of the company's philosophy: "coming from the tree's point of view." The Social Media Marketing Specialist will create new content, coordinate existing blogs, position the intended messages into target audiences, bring together new tribe members, synchronize events, incorporate video. This person will make TreeProtector.org into the go-to, holistic, "everything trees" place on the internet for people who want to be enlightened stewards of Earth.
Primary Responsibilities: Start off with materials and resources from the founders, then take off like a rocket from there. Write original posts, cross-post, share posts, interact with tribe members who "like" and share, and work with guest bloggers. Create graphics. Target key existing and new audiences. Research and pursue parallel markets. Implement existing marketing ideas and come forth with new ones. Track Results. You will manage (sometimes create) all social media accounts, and coordinate with TreeProtector.org and CooperativeBioBalance.org. Collaborate with… and regularly, reliably, and clearly report progress to… company founders.
Must be an enthusiastic tree lover and be willing to learn about the company's unique holistic approach to the health and well-being of trees and ecosystems. Ideal candidate must be sharp, have a marketing mentality, and already have or be on track for a marketing or communications-type of degree. Top notch Social Media and Internet skills. Best if you already follow some of Social Media gurus' techniques for attracting followers, synergizing markets, and SM advertising. Illustrator & Photoshop skills important, preferably on Mac. Final Cut Pro skills a real plus!
Read the above description carefully. Realize that it is an incredible opportunity for a young marketer to succeed with something new—it's a great resume builder or agency starter. Check our various sister websites and our existing FB accounts. Think about what YOU would do to promote and build TREEPROTECTOR.ORG via all social media to the young and the young-at-heart… Write out some general ideas and send them (along with a resume, writing samples, and letter of intent) to Basia@PlantKingdomCommunications.com.
