Vanguard, one of the world's largest investment management companies and a recognized employer of choice is seeking a Senior Marketing Manager – Client Segments for our Retail Investor Group (RIG) clients.

Retail Marketing, where this role will reside, has a mission to express the Vanguard story in ways that set us apart, inspire action, and arm investors with the truth about investing.

Retail Marketing aligns resources across business initiatives that support the RIG business plan, while concurrently evolving Retail Marketing into a best-in-class marketing organization

The Senior Marketing Manager leads marketing strategy development and execution for RIG clients and manages the integration of marketing communications activities across business lines, client segments and communication channels in line with corporate and divisional goals.

Duties and Responsibilities:

* Establishes the vision for marketing strategy, planning, measurement and relationship management and leads team of marketing managers that delivers that vision.
* Leads your team to success by fostering an inclusive environment and managing to their diverse needs. Creates a culture of engagement by providing personalized coaching, training, and motivation. Setting standards, reviewing performance, and providing feedback, all in order to develop staff.
* Leads the development and implementation of operational plans to achieve divisional and corporate objectives. Oversees planning, development and execution of short and long range goals. Demonstrates initiative and creativity in independently recommending and implementing marketing solutions. Analyzes costs impacting marketing decisions and other related issues and develops cost effective solutions to marketing issues.
* Collaborates with senior leaders in the various Retail businesses and segments to ensure that annual marketing plans have been established and are consistent with business objectives, and to synthesize the various plans into a comprehensive divisional marketing plan.
* Manages operational efficiency within the group. Sets measurable goals and examines ways to raise standards, increase quality of marketing efforts, and improve overall performance of the unit. Partners with PMO to synch marketing plans with resource capacity.
* Leads the prioritization of marketing projects with Retail business partners and Retail Marketing resources, insuring that Marketing is delivering projects that support approved marketing plans and prioritization criteria.
* Evaluates businesses periodically on project efficiency and consistently works to improve project cycle times according to objective data provided by the planner.
* Collaborates with, and at times, leads matrixed teams of colleagues across Retail Marketing departments, including Analytics, User Experience, and the PMO.

Qualifications

* Undergraduate degree with a preference for marketing or related degree.
* Ten years of related marketing experience in either financial services or B2C industries or firms.
* Proven leadership experience building and managing high performing teams.
* Experience and measurable success in managing multi-channel, multi-segment marketing campaigns.
* Exceptional organizations skills and ability to work across multiple functions.
* Excellent interpersonal, negotiation and conflict resolution skills. Ability to build trust and work effectively with senior management and business partners at all levels of the organization.
* Superior team management skills. Able to attract, mentor, and motivate talent, and to establish an environment characterized by teamwork, innovation, and objectivity.
* Demonstrated initiative and the ability to set, convey, and gain support for a vision.
